PLI (Practising Law Institute) is the premiere legal continuing legal education venue for cutting edge updates in the law. Every year, PLI hosts a program entitled IP Issues in Business Transactions. And each year I, along with a co-presenter, discuss issues related to shared and jointly developed IP.
The full program is designed to help individuals learn how to assess intellectual property as a strategic asset and learn how to monetize IP while avoiding costly mistakes. Our session will be held at 4:00 pm EST on January 6, 2020:
Shared or Jointly Developed IP
Creating new business opportunities or challenges through collaboration with another company
Joint venture versus strategic alliance – pros and cons
Using program IP: rights of partners and/or collaborators
Termination and dissolution: IP ownership issues following the collaboration
Speakers: Laura Taylor, Chemours, Inc.; Angela J. Grayson, CIPP/US, CLP Precipice IP PLLC
